FINALLY! A teaser of the conversation between David and the Engineer in PROMETHEUS

Somebody give me an aspirin, I’ve just woken up from cryo-sleep….

We finally got a small teaser clip, one of the deleted scene in Prometheus, of the conversation between David and the Engineer. In the clip we get the response half from the Engineer after David says….

/ida hmanəm aɪ kja namṛtuh zdɛ:taha/…/ghʷɪvah-pjorn-ɪttham sas da:tṛ kredah/

A serviceable translation into English is:

‘This man is here because he does not want to die. He believes you can give him more life’.

Which is then confirmed when Peter Weyland asks David what he has just said…

[Peter Weyland] “What did he say….what did he say?”

[David] “I told him you wanted to live forever”

Unfortunately we don’t get the translation of the Engineers response….so thanks for that David!?! I’m going to assume that if this extended scene is 10min in length, that there is quite possibly more conversation to be seen and heard. Check out the earlier article on the initial translation from here.
